What areas in Northeast Indiana do you serve?
Our mobile foot care nursing service primarily visits clients in their homes throughout Fort Wayne and the surrounding Northeast Indiana communities. If you are unsure if you are within our service radius, please contact us for more information.
What should I expect during a home foot care visit?
A typical visit includes a nursing assessment of your lower legs and feet, professional nail trimming, and callous/corn reduction if needed. We also provide education on proper footwear and skin care to help prevent future complications. Your nurse will bring all the necessary equipment! Every effort is made to reduce discomfort.
Do you provide care for individuals with diabetes?
Yes, we specialize in diabetic foot care. We focus on gentle, non-invasive techniques and perform thorough assessments for neuropathy or circulation issues that are common with diabetes.
How long does a typical appointment last?
Most initial assessments and treatments take approximately 1 hour. Follow-up appointments may be slightly shorter depending on the complexity of care required.
How do I prepare for my mobile visit?
Please ensure you have a comfortable place to sit where a nurse can easily access your feet. We provide all the necessary sterilized equipment. Please avoid soaking the feet prior to foot care.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept various forms of payment, including credit/debit cards, cash, and checks at the time of service. Please note that mobile nursing services are a private-pay service, typically not covered by Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial health insurance companies. Invoices are available by request to the patient if desired.
How often should I schedule visits?
Most clients benefit from visits every 6 to 10 weeks, depending on their circulation, nail growth, and overall health. During your first visit, we’ll talk about your specific needs and create a schedule that helps you stay comfortable, mobile, and safe.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
Life happens. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible so we can offer your time to another client in need. We’ll do our best to find a new time that works for you and keeps your foot care on track.
